CHANGES;sum are gud, sum are not. :'(
it breaks my heart, it really does,to see how much I've changed.
passing through the paths of maturity, makes me know the meaning of being lonely.
Then : I cried on my first day in MRSM Kuantan. Homesick-ing always. Cries when I missed ummi and ayah.
Now : The 2nd semester has almost comes to an end. Bagaimana masa terbang sebegitu pantas... (silalah translate dlm english. eheh.) I managed to survive. There's no turning back. Though at times I feel like coming back home and JESS, it's only because I miss the memories so much.
Then : I looked down on my very own self. Suck-ishly very low in self-esteem.
Now : My self-confidence raises bit by bit. Through the oral tests, Q&A sessions in the class, public speaking and through the only-Allah-knows-how-many-interviews I've got myself involved. I voice out my opinions and thoughts. I dare to debate to what I believe is right.
Then : She's my best friend. I told her... (more)

What's my age again?
Driving in my car yesterday, I had a slightly disturbing revelation. I think I may be an adult now.
In front of me at the stop light was a guy on a motorcycle, a crotch rocket to be exact, with a girl sitting on the back. The first thought in my head was "I would never let my daughter ride a motorcycle like that if I were her mother." My second thought was "Whoa, did I really just think that?" First of all, I don't have a daughter, nor am I planning on getting one soon. And secondly, that just seems like an uncharacteristic thought for me. Granted, I've been riding motorcycles for the majority of my life now, so I know the dangers in wearing short shorts and sandals while riding a motorcycle, especially with a guy who weaves a bit as if he doesn't have much experience driving with the shifting weight of a passenger on the back. And I understand the importance of helmets, especially driving on pavement around traffic with a driver who likes to weave in and out of lanes, cutting cars... (more)

Late summer in the garden. Tomatoes ripening on the vine, gentle breezes wafting the air, sun tea brewing in a jar... mosquitoes eating one alive!
We thought the white hydrangea was a goner and I almost had the tree guy rip it out. But we cut it back and it revived and even bloomed! I love my hydrangeas, so this makes me pretty happy. The big star found a baby at a rummage sale.
No, not a urine sample on the stove. It's mint syrup. I have so much mint this year I had to do something with it and I still have dried mint from last year. So mint syrup for mint juleps! I used 2 cups water, 2 cups sugar, and about 2 cups mint leaves and simmer 5 minutes. If it works out well I'll make some from the spearmint too. Of course I've never had a mint julep, so I'm not sure what it should taste like, but anything with bourbon must be good!
